Arthur D. Boyd passed away February 10, 2018 at a local hospital due to complications of pneumonia. He was born August 23, 1927 in Hazelton, Idaho and grew up on the farm with 5 other siblings. He served 2 years in the Army during World War II as a cryptographic technician. He attended Northwest Nazarene College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He worked at the Boise Department of Employment as a statistical analyst till retirement. After retirement, he moved to Smithville, TX where he spent 25 fond years working with RVICS---a non-denominational organization of volunteers for Christ Services. Five years ago he moved back to Boise. He had a huge ‘pig’ collection and enjoyed many hours with lapidary.
Art is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 45 years; sister, Joanne Torres; 2 daughters: Beverly (Charles) Hahn and Doreen Nichols; 2 grandchildren: Rebecca (Richard) Gonzales and Jason (Dyanna) Hahn; and 7 great-grandchildren: Baylen, Taylor, Zachary, Zoe, Peyton, Joshyua, and Brody.
He is interred at the Columbarium Wall at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Much Love and God Bless.
