Julie Ann Rodgers passed away unexpectedly at home on September 1, 2019. She was born in Boise, Idaho on February 18, 1963 becoming the youngest child to Jerrie McPherson. Growing up the youngest of four meant she had to make sure she had an equal voice, and once grown, her stubborn, rambunctious ways were set in stone.
Julie married young and had 2 boys, Dustin and Shawn.
Julie had many passions over the years that included her love for the outdoors, water sports, and camping. She enjoyed music in all forms, including going to and rocking out at many concerts. As her boys would always say, “She was a free-spirited hippy chick that loved to have fun!”
Julie had a love for animals, especially for boxers, that lasted for decades. She took them with her on as many outdoor adventures as possible.
For the last 10 years, Julie worked for Heartland Pharmacy as a delivery driver, and loved every minute of it. Before that, she worked at Gem Meat Packing Company for many years.
She purchased her home about 8 years ago and had been slowly remodeling it as time and funds allowed.
Julie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Merrill; uncle, Aaron Merrill; 2 stepdads: Johnny Rodgers and Alexander McPherson; and her niece, Hannah Rodgers.
Julie leaves behind, her mother, Jerrie McPherson; children, Dustin Parent(McKynzie Skillings), Shawn Parent(Arin Stem); siblings, Christina Boylan, Jim (Vicki) Boylan, Bob (Trina) Rodgers; 1 grandson, Blaze Parent; and many nieces & nephews.
