Obituary of Walter Vincent Schovanec
Walter Vincent Schovanec, after an unfortunate accident, passed away peacefully surrounded by all those who loved him deeply, on the 1st of February 2013.
Wally was born on the 26th of August 1927, although was not financially rich but was a billionaire in life, love, and friendships. Avid hunter and fisherman, word wizard, and decorated veteran of WWII and Korean Wars. History will record his worth as a husband, daddy, grandpa, and friend. He was honest, compassionate, graceful, and brave. Wally was the most plainly decent man you could ever hope to meet. He would always say, "A gentleman always does the kind thing." And he is a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. A gentle-man. He never tried to make anyone feel small. He never took advantage of those who were weak. Strength, he believed, was never more admirable when it was applied with restraint.
Wally is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louise; children, Barbi, Nanci, and Michael; grandchildren Robbie, Rudy, Brettany, Christa and Erica, Great grandchildren Amber, Christian, Lauren, Kane, Gage, and Emma Grace.
The funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday February 6th, St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 2206 N Cole Rd. Private burial will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
