Interment will follow at the Meridian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Gladys was born September 1, 1909 to Raymond and Luvena Stearman in American Falls, Idaho. She attended Paul Elementary School, Burley High School and Gooding College. After graduation she met and married William "Dave" Kelley on August 6, 1933 in Twin Falls. The couple lived many places in Idaho, but her favorites were Challis, Stanley, and Kooskia. In 1945 the family moved to a farm in the Eagle area and in 1956 the family moved to Meridian. This was Gladys' home until her death. After her retirement, she was very active in the United Methodist Church in Meridian. When Dave passed away 1978 she expanded her activities to doing volunteer work in the community. The Senior Center, Meridian Occident Club, and Eastern Star were some of the functions she attended until she was 94 and her eye site was so poor she gave up driving. She also liked taking trips to visit her family, camping and picnics no matter what time of the year. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Luvena and Raymond Stearman, her husband, Dave Kelley, her two brothers, Wesley and Robert Stearman, and her sister, Berniece Curtis. She survived by her daughter, Joan Jones, her son, Douglas and wife Donna Kelley and grandchildren, Dennis Jones, Doug and wife Tracy Jones, Pamela and husband Don Henslee, Leisa and husband Dave Bates, Laura and husband John Cain and Daniel Kelley, fifteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. McHugh and all of the staff at the Cherry Lane Family Clinic for the special care they gave to Gladys throughout the years.
