Obituary of LeRoy Wayne Root

LeRoy Wayne Root lived an amazing life of love, laughter, and love of God. On Tuesday, January 22, 2013 he went home to be with Jesus at the age of 74. He was born in Upland, California on March 19, 1938 to LeRoy Ward Root and Mildred Christine Entringer Root. Wayne grew up in Southern California, attending Verdugo Hills High School. Wayne married Marjorie Jean Ake, the love of his life, in Burbank, California on April 11, 1958. After their marriage they lived in Sunland, California where Wayne worked in the aircraft accessory repair business for 40 years. He retired from PacAero after 26 years. After retirement they moved to Boise. Wayne always enjoyed his family, fishing, wood working, and gardening. He was a very active member of River City Church in Boise, serving as a Board Member, usher, greeter, mentor and friend. Wayne is survived by his bride Margie, two sons and a daughter, Randy (Donna), Cindie, Mike (Shelly); eight grandchildren, J’Amy (Eric), Ashley (Drayton), Dylan, Jacob, Christopher, Jana, Zachary, Samuel; and three great-grandchildren, Maycie, Kayla, and Brandon Wayne, He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Anthony Root. A Life Celebration will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 2 at River City Church, 7540 Northview Street, Boise, 83704. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made in his name to the Missions Fund at River City Church. Remembrances may be left for Wayne's family at www.AccentFuneral.com.
