Obituary of Jerald Jerry Anderson

Jerald “Jerry” Rex Anderson, 77, peacefully passed away Apr. 1st, 2012 at home. Jerry was born Oct. 8th, 1934 in Shelley, Idaho to Charles and Elizabeth Anderson. As a young man Jerry proudly served with the U.S. Navy. During his time on the U.S.S. Stark County he earned a National Defense Service medal as well as a Good Conduct medal. In 1957, after his tour, Jerry married Diane Musgrave. Together they had three beautiful daughters, Kelly, Connie, and Linda. His girls meant the world to him. Though the marriage ended after 21 years, Diane and Jerry remained close friends up until his death. In 1980, Jerry met and married a wonderful woman, Annie Lytle-Henson. Annie brought to the marriage four additional daughters; Tracy, Jann, Jill, and Johna leaving Jerry outnumbered 8:1. Jerry and Annie would have celebrated 32 years of marriage this November. Jerry was a very hardworking and ambitious man. After his service in the military, he went to work for Albertson’s. Later he became a General Contractor. During this time he built more than 50 homes. Over the years he also owned several businesses. He owned a cabinet factory with his brother Bob, The Bank Club Tavern, The Vista Book Gallery, and dabbled in many other ventures. Jerry was an entrepreneur at heart and took pride in his work. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; and his two beloved Maltese, Rocky and Molly. He is survived by his wife Annie, three sisters, Maxine, Joyce, and Sherry; three daughters, Kelly, Connie, and Linda; four step-daughters, Tracy, Jann, Jill, and Johna; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren plus another on its way; and his Maltese, Sam. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Apr. 6th at the Meridian Friends Church, 1021 W. Pine Avenue, Meridian. Interment will follow at the Idaho States Veteran Cemetery, Boise.
