Obituary of Vera Rassmussen

Vera Engle Rasmussen was born on November 19, 1924 in Kansas, and entered into rest on July 26, 2012 in Meridian, Idaho. She was one of fifteen children, and helped her family on their dairy farm in Alta Loma, California. She graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario, California and attended Upland College for two years. Vera married George Rasmussen, who had been a pilot during World War II. She worked as an office manager for a department store and did clerical duties in a print shop. Vera was a good mother to her two surviving daughters, Karen DaDeppo and Anne Jordan. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jonathan, Jenny, Stephen, Michael, and Kristine and six sisters: Ruth, Twila, Roberta, Dorothy, Josephine, and Marion. She was a member of the New Hope Nazarene Church in Boise, Idaho. Vera now resides in heaven with her Lord. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 8th at 9:00 a.m. at the New Hope Nazarene Church, 8585 W. Overland, Boise. Inurnment services will be held the same day at 11:00 a.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
