Obituary of Tamara Denise Stewart

Tamara Denise Stewart, age 55, died peacefully in the arms of her husband and daughter on March 19, 2020 at their home in Meridian, ID after her courageous battle with stage four-breast cancer.

Tami or TT by family and friends was born on December 27, 1964 in Sacramento, California to Victor and Marilyn Sue Bockmann.  She spent her high school days in Tacoma, Washington before settling in Meridian, Idaho.  Tami loved children and spent many years taking care of them before starting her own daycare at home.  Tami was happily married to Christopher Stewart who was her partner in life 17 years at the time of her death.

Tami is the oldest of three sisters - Vikki McIntosh, Tarri Coulter, and Tiffany Shuler.  She is survived by her husband; her son, Brent Kallam; her oldest daughter, Sierra Kallam; and her youngest daughter, Hailie Stewart. She was like a mother to all her nieces Katie, Taylor, Samantha, Megan, Maddie, Hannah, and her nephew Timothy.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Tami had a passion for the church; her daughter Hailie’s swimming; camping in her RV; and living life.  Nothing could break her spirits. Tami had a bright and energetic personality that was contagious.

Tami’s life would seem too short to many; but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her infectious smile, her sense of humor, and smart-ass personality brought so much joy to our family.

Although she was quiet and frail when our lord took her into his arms, Tami left our world in peace and now she is with her mother in Heaven. Tami gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.  May we all celebrate as Tami is now with God.
