Obituary of June Pack

Lova June Pack of Meridian, Idaho, died January 24, 2021 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.

 

She was born May 18, 1929 on her father’s birthday, Reama “Ray” Stewart Anderson and Minnie Ann Cotton Anderson in Ontario, CA at home.

 

She and her brother, Clarence Wesley, moved to Eagle, Idaho with their parents in 1946 where she graduated from the old Eagle High School located on Eagle Rd.  After graduation, Lova June entered St. Luke’s School of Nursing then worked in the surgery department at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho.

 

Lova June met Ray O. Pack (a young pharmacist) in Boise, they were married August 18, 1951 in Pomona, CA. They returned to Boise, Idaho to make it their home. They moved to Meridian, ID in 1957 and purchased the Rice Pharmacy on Idaho St.  They moved the business 3 times in Meridian before it finally ended up at the Cherry Plaza Mall, then renamed Meridian Drug.

 

June was a loving mother of 4 children: LuAnn, Alann Ray, Earle D., and Carol Sue.  She was a member of the Meridian Jaycee-ettes, many Meridian Bowling Leagues, a life-time member of the VFW Post 4000, the Nurse for the Pine Acres Church camp for many years, a 4-H Leader teaching sewing, knitting, and cooking.  She loved volunteering at the Well Baby Clinic in Meridian once a month and the VA and Veterans Home in Boise.  Her parents and Ray and the family were members of the Treasure Valley Good Sam Club where they traveled around the State and raised money for the Dogs for the Deaf Training center for many years.  June and Ray loved touring the States on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle with friends.

 

June was awarded a plaque for being the Chief Judge for Ada County voting poles for 55 years. She just retired her position this year at 91 years of age.  She was a true patriot for her nation in which she believed in. 

 

Lova June is preceded in death by her husband, Ray O. Pack; parents; brother; and son, Earle D. Pack. She is survived by her daughter, LuAnn (Michael) Losh; son, Alann Ray (DeAnn) Pack; and daughter, Carol Sue (Gordon) Hutchinson; grandchildren:  Michael Ray (Liz) Losh, Mark Alan Losh, Leslie Ann Losh; Alexander, Adam, and Eric Pack; Earlene (Joey) Fielder, Erin (Josh) Golden; Cory (Stacey) Clark; 5 step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and  12 step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Esther (Newton) States, and several nieces and nephews.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St. in Meridian.  Private family funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 8th at Legacy Church 1507 N. Meridian Rd.  Friends are invited to join the service virtually at YouTube.com/LegacyChurchID   Private interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Remembrances may be left for the family on June’s webpage at www.AccentFuneral.com
