Obituary of John Robert Stear

John Robert Stear, father, brother and friend was born in Kearney, Nebraska where he raised livestock and participated in 4-H and FFA. He moved to Kuna, Idaho in 1965 where he met and married the love of his life, Donita Bennett after graduating in 1967.

He subsequently ran a successful welding and excavation business for over 50 years while contributing to his community. He loved animals, cars, tractor pulls, racing, westerns, side-by-siding and elk camp.

He is survived by his daughters: Shelly Jones and Johanna (Dusty) Basabe (and Evan); brothers: Joe (and Maresa), Tim (and Karen) and sister, Pamela Wesley and extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Kuna High School Commons, 637 E Deer Flat, Kuna from 1:00 to 3:00 on Saturday, September 11, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal rescue.
