Obituary of Luis Partida

It is with tremendous sadness we announce the passing of Luis Partida Esparza, at the age of 53. Luis was born to his mother, Refugio, and father, Luis, on March 9, 1968, in Guadalajara Mexico. Luis was raised on a farm with his nine siblings in Guadalajara, growing corn, beans and tending to livestock.

He made his way to American in 1986 and lived for a short time in California before moving to Idaho and working at various local farms. While in Idaho, he met his wife, Corinne, and they married at home in 1990 and he began working at Yamamoto Farms. Luis and Corinne had three children together: Erica Corrigan, Alyssa Partida and Cristian Partida.

Luis poured his heart and soul into his work and all the people he worked with absolutely admired him. There truly wasn’t anything that Luis couldn’t do, he was a very hard worker. Luis touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel important and special. He showed up when it mattered, had your back, gave to those in need, and would defend and stand up for his loved ones should the need for it arise. He kept us safe.

Luis is survived by his loving wife, Corinne Partida; daughters: Erica and husband, Drew Corrigan and Alyssa Partida; son, Cristian and Natalie Partida; grandchildren: Nora Corrigan and Allison Partida; father, Luis Partida Lomelli; sisters: Luisa, Eloisa, Raquel and brothers: Mario, Martin, Antonio, Jaime, Juan and Jesus. He is preceded in death by his mother, Refugio.

“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.” Author Unknown.
