Obituary of Susan Francene Larson

     Susan Francene Alexander was born on February 7, 1948, in Quincy, Illinois to Robert “Jack” and Betty Lou Alexander. Susan was the eldest of four children. As a young child she moved to Middleton Idaho where she attended and graduated from Middleton Schools.

      In 1966, Susan married the late Bill Petzoldt. From this union three children were born: Kristie, Jonathan, and Julie.

      Susan excelled at motherhood and became the foundation of our family. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was our beloved “Mother and Nanny”.

      Susan was the true matriarch of our family. She loved us all unconditionally, she worried about us, rooted for us, protected us, forgave us, and kept on loving us. She taught us the true meaning of being a parent, and that no matter what our life choices were, she would always be there for us.  She had an amazing sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and a contagious laugh. She filled our hearts and homes with countless memories and gave beyond measures.  She will be forever missed. Our hearts are broken by this loss. She was one of a kind and we all are forever grateful to have been able to call her Mom, Nanny, Wife and Friend.  

      Susan is preceded in death by her father, mother; late husband, David Montgomery; granddaughter, Liliana Deleon and other loving family members. She leaves behind her legacy through her husband, Garry; her three children: Kristie, Jonathan, Julie; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

      Susan’s family will be hosting an open house Gathering.  This event will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Middleton First Baptist Church, 108 E 1^st St, Middleton, Idaho.  Visitors are welcome to come pay their respects, say their goodbyes and visit during this time. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Middleton Cemetery, 23660 Cemetery Road, Middleton, Idaho.
