Obituary of Charles Stewart Sperber

     Charles Stewart Sperber, age 79, passed away peacefully in his home in Star, ID on January 27, 2023. He was a beloved father, grandfather, stepdad and friend. He was born in Santa Monica, California on July 19, 1943, to Willard Johnson and Loretta Sperber. He worked at RCA, and found his career in building movie sets, where he became head foreman on many movies. Some include, History of the World, Die Hard, Red Corner, Coma, The Flood and the TV show 9 to 5. He dedicated his life to hard work, creativity and helping others. He married Dana Joanne Mills on August 12, 2003. Chuck and Dana retired to Palm Desert, California. Later, they relocated to Idaho to be with family, friends and their beloved grandchildren. Chuck loved working in his shop, building and painting, going to car shows, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, his beloved wife Dana.

     He is survived by his son, Michael Anthony Sperber; daughter, Charlene Sperber Christman; three grandchildren: Michael Anthony Sperber Jr., Anthony Christman Walsh and Teresa Lynn Christman McKee; nephews: Bennett Sperber II and Todd Sperber;  nieces: Carol Ann Sperber, Carol Gunderson, Susan Heuser, Michelle Adamson and Staci Lynn Sperber; stepson, Jon Albright (Jamia); stepdaughter, Elizabeth Albright Chapman (Eric); six grandchildren: Dylan and Bodhi Albright, Michael, Samuel, Braxton and Dakota Chapman. He leaves behind many cherished family members and friends.

     A graveside service will be held at Star Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 10, 2023 for all of Chuck’s family and friends. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. at LifeSpring Christian Church, 174 North Star Road, Star, Idaho at 11:00 A.M.
