Obituary of Elizabeth A. Marshall

      Betty Marshall, 98, of Eagle, passed away, Sunday, January 29, 2023, while residing at Paramount Senior Living.

     A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Eagle Hills Church, 651 N. Eagle Rd, Eagle, Idaho, where Betty was a member. Pastor John Grimstead will officiate.

     Betty was born September 22, 1924, in Homewood, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy Archer. Betty married her high school sweetheart, Jack D. Marshall on September 23, 1944 at Big Spring, Texas. From there, they moved to Los Angeles, California, where Jack graduated from Woodbury Business College. Jack and Betty moved to Boise in 1949.

     Betty loved all music. She loved playing her piano, gardening and sewing. She enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and spending time at their place in McCall. After retirement, Betty and Jack traveled in their motorhome in all of the States, except for Hawaii and Alaska!

     Betty is survived by her three daughters: Janet Marshall of Eagle, Suzee Ziegenfuss of Meridian, and Vicki; her husband, Dave Friend of Boise; five granddaughters: Erin Ziegenfuss, Jaime Whitehead, Elizabeth Tincher, Heather Thomason and Sarah Friend; and 5 great grandchildren: Sagan Ziegenfuss Johnson, Maple, Alaska and Aspen Whitehead and Ty Tincher. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Marshall.

     Betty’s faith has always gotten her through life. She found comfort in God and wants to remind us to love one another, be patient and always be kind.

     The family would like to thank the Lighthouse Hospice team for all the care and love they gave Betty.

     The family suggests memorials to the Eagle Hills Church “Elizabeth Marshall Memorial” 651 N. Eagle Rd, Eagle ID 83616, in lieu of flowers.
