Obituary of Bernadine Cassidy

     Bernadine “Bernie” Cassidy loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Meridian, Idaho on June 16, 2023.  

     Bernie was born April 10, 1954 to Fidel V. and Lola (Urban) Gonzales in Boone, Colorado. She spent her early years in Pueblo, Colorado. Her family then moved to Caldwell, Idaho where she attended school. In the late 1970’s she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she met and married her husband, Bruce J. Cassidy, in 1983. They moved their family to Boise, Idaho in 1988.

     She is survived by her husband Bruce; three children: Arturo (Renee′) Cariaga of Caldwell, Corinna (Shane) Perkins of Palm Bay, Florida and Amanda (Mathew) Baxter of Sandy, Utah; three grandchildren: Hope, Thomas and Madison Perkins; siblings: Betty, Thomas, Mary Jean, Linda, Giovanni and Jason.

     We would like to thank Dr. Eric Rich for his kind and patient service over the past 6 years while treating Bernie’s Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. We are also grateful for all the support Norco provided, especially Curt and Alex during their weekly deliveries of oxygen, as well as the wonderful help St. Luke’s Hospice provided to her and her family especially her nurse Allison.

     Services will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church on Thursday, June 22nd, Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 AM.  Committal service will be at 1:30 PM at Meridian Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian Idaho, remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com.
