Obituary of Nadine Reyes

Laura Nadine “Dee Dee” Reyes, 92, of Meridian, passed away, Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Nadine was born February 10, 1931 to George Martin Crist and Vera Evelyn Briggs in Formosa, Kansas. Nadine lived with her parents and family in many areas of the United States before settling in Southern California.

On January 29, 1949, Nadine married the love of her life, Edward C Reyes. Together they raised 4 children. Nadine was the loving, caring, stay-at-home mom that was the center of the household. Throughout her life, Nadine volunteered at her local church and hospital. She excelled in mathematics, so she would act as accounting volunteer for her church fund raising events. She loved to read and spend time in her garden. Nadine especially enjoyed weekly card games and luncheons with her senior friends. They enjoyed getting together for lunch to celebrate each other’s birthdays.

Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents; brothers: Jack and Gary; sister Gay; son, Bruce and granddaughter, Amanda.

Nadine is survived by her sister, Dana; sons: Steven and Michael (Judy); daughter, Debbie; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 12:00 pm followed by the funeral Mass at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church 6300 N. Meridian Road, Meridian. Private committal service will follow. A celebration of life reception will be held at Louie’s Italian Restaurant 2500 E. Fairview Ave, Meridian.
