Obituary of Gerry M. Lasken

Gerry “Marie” Lasken, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday October 6th, 2023 after nearly 3 years battling metastatic breast cancer. Her daughter and grandson were by her side as she entered eternity. The legend surrounded by her legacy.

Marie was a devoted believer and servant to Jesus Christ, and she had many wild adventures in her 65 years of life that led to deep friendships and deeper faith for all involved. Her humor was the honest, deep belly laugh kind; her home a safe place for any who entered and always full of kids & people who needed that.

Here are a few life lessons Marie left us we hope she can leave with you too:

Always feed your dog a little off your plate because “it’s good for their coat". Never pass a yard sale sign (but do try to remember to put the car in park before getting out). Choose forgiveness, even when your feelings don’t match - ask God to help them catch up to your choice. Find the humor in every odd situation or character that enters your story. Say I love you at the end of every conversation, with everyone. Always believe your best days are yet to come. Trust God completely, down to your last earthly breath. 

Her spirit is carried on by her only child Ashley Lasken, grandson James Beyer, son-in-law Jordan Beyer along with an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.
